Enjoy classic appetizers and snacks such as idli (steamed rice cakes served with sambar and chutney), dahi vada (deep-fried lentils shaped like small doughnuts and covered in a thick yogurt), samosas, papdi chaat, and bhel puri, but know that the main attraction here is, of course, their dosas. Try the paneer dosa (filled with paneer cheese) or the Andhra special dosa (filled with spices, onions, and potatoes).

Dosa Grill also has a kid’s friendly menu that has very interesting options. Pizza uthappam, cheese cone dosa and butter cone dosa are just a few of the items on this menu. Dosa Grill also has pani poori and papdi chaat. This restaurant has both dine-in, takeaway and delivery options and is reasonably priced.

The Dosa Grill, open about 2 decades ago, already feels like an institution. The floors are worn, the laminate tables sleek from use. The mood inside is of a house full of regular customers for whom cone-shaped dosas are an everyday occurrence. Service is friendly and quick, portions are generous, prices are downright cheap and the food, with its South Indian vegetarian specialties expertly done, indeed has the “best taste.”
